DEVASTATING NEWS

I can't help myself but cry about the situation in Haiti. While I'm not sure if any friends or family have been hurt (there's no way of reaching them), it is so painful to me...I wanted to share this article with you guys and let you know that I am putting together a fundraiser for the cause.

SUNBURST 12/31/09 thru 1/3/10

Hey guys--new section of the blog where we briefly (as brief as possible) mention the various goings-ons of the Sundry.

Fourth of July Weekend:

Thursday: champagne and multifarious hor d'oeurves (courtesy of Trader Joe's) at Berg-Soho residence. Taboo, failed firework viewing, failed after hours descent into the night. Except for Flannie and Kelsie.
(See video in near-future post)

Friday Morn: Nebulous walk through Little Italy and Nolita. Delicatessan for breakfast. Mcnally bookstore. Safram and Dram start book club. Criminal Minds.

Saturday Eve: Brooklyn Museum. S.S.Cram's Pad for folllies. Workout techniques discovered. Flustered walk to "nearby" bar. Dispersion.

Sun Latenoon: Eagles at Muholland's. halftime at Foodswings. tempers and droopiness by the fire. Screenplay idea developed.

Thoughts from a Sundry on a Thursday...

So, I just ordered lunch from Seamless Web from this new place called Fusha (I'm glad I'm typing this because I'm not quite sure how one is supposed to pronounce it). For $10, I just got two sushi rolls, a salad, miso soup, and two dumplings. Upon unloading this satchel of food, I realized I had something equivalent to a modest Thanksgiving or Thanksmakawanzaa banquet - all just for lunch. Leftovers may be had tomorrow.

We should check and see if this place is open on Sundays, too...

Kind of went ballistic when SNoodie proclaimed Kanye as one of the most influential rappers of our time...Am I out of line??

The Sundry Revue

What up preciouses.
Oh the rain and the miserable downtrodden drear it brings. The Sundry, however, provided psychological respite from the harrowing needles of rain this Sunday in the greatest city in the world. Perched on the atrium-esque third story of Alma, we fittingly warmed our souls, peering across the gray water to the lifeless financial district. Kyung, Spoolhouse, and De La Dreidel found themselves in good hands when a pixie alighted at our table to advise bloody marys, enchiladas, and a few other specialties of the house. Let us not soon forget the extraordinary treasure that arrived with our order of guacamole: a bowl made of volcanic rock!

Alma; 187 Columbia St., $52 for 3 ppl (drinks, entrees, plus guac-in-a-rock); recommended.

Conversations spanned from break-up analyses to New Year's prospects. The hip trio spilled into the streets where unsurprisingly, only K had adequate footwear and equipment, and she led her soggy companions to a certain humble domicile in quaint Cobble Hilly for Sex with Carrie and Miranda. Oh, how we all wished the company could continue in full; we'd light a fire, watch media of substance and laugh and laugh and laugh, but alas this could not be. When L'il Yung (Miss Social Butterfly) removed herself to the city for a Frick-ing party, two "Mad Men" debonairs were sent trooping out armed only with a google android and the hunger for cinematic amusement.

Brothers...Oh brother! "I've never walked out of a movie before!" S said to Dane while the latter grabbed his elbow and pulled him from the theater after 19 minutes. On a whimful folly, an attempt was made for redemption and get this, friends, the playahs walked away with two free passes for a future shitty court st experience :) Suddenly the evening was free again and the council of Williams summoned us via telegram. Lord only hopes that Kiss-tin was not eaten by whatever predators prey on butterflies, but we do know she had to exchange her sturdy rain boot for dinky dress shoes despite ubiquitous puddles. Hopefully we will be all together soon to give you a full Sundry experience.

'Til then -- Go Eagles!!

Confessional

...So if D.Bag wants to take it there, let's take it there.
I'd rather be on the Island for New Years cuz that's where I live. I'd rather wake up in 2010 in my apartment and not hungover at someone else's crib. We all know there will be no cabs available back to Manhattan. And honestly- I don't owe you an explanation.

Let's just play nice and try to make a plan that's inclusive.
